Fresh after arriving in Darwin, I was running around on Vestey's beach looking for a good shot as the tide rapidly rose beneath my feet. Every time I set my camera down and found something I liked, the tide has risen enough to ruin it, or be splashing my camera before I had even found focus!
My criteria was simple for that evening, a lone rock mixed with a long exposure wash of the water. This is one of two images that worked that night and I'm really happy with it!
I was having trouble naming this photo, I couldn't think of anything that fit. I then expressed this to some family that were around and without even looking at the picture, my dad (who had his head buried in the fridge), shouted out "Fred!"... So that is how this picture was named :-D
